Team Tooke shines in Wrestling and MMA this weekend!

Eddie Pugachov and Alan Gonzalez shine on the big stage!

Team Tooke Kids Jiu-jitsu coach Eddie Pugachov put on a stellar performance over the weekend and was able to secure 4th in the state at the UIL Wrestling State Championship. Just a few months back Eddie was sidelined due to ankle surgery and was only mobile with the assistance of crutches. The leg cast and crutches didn’t discourage him and he kept a positive attitude through rehab and onto the practice mat where he had a great season. Now, he stands on the podium alongside the best wrestlers in Texas. Congratulations on all the hard work, positive attitude and effort paying off. 

Alan Gonzalez continued his winning streak in the youth MMA divisions capturing 2 victories this past weekend (winning one with a beautiful arm bar). Alan is still a juvenile but will soon join the adult league with a wealth of experience under his belt. We can’t wait to see what the future holds for this superstar. Alan is a dedicated student of Muay Thai, Jiu-jitsu and Mixed Martial Arts and loves to challenge himself in the competition arena. We can”t wait to see what the future holds for this talended warrior!
