When it comes to learning realistic self defense techniques, MMA has proven itself as perhaps the most effective of all of the martial arts. Because it blends Brazilian Jiu-jitsu, Muay Thai, grappling and striking, students of MMA are well versed in all self defense situations. But it is highly unlikely that a student of MMA and Jiu-jitsu will ever need to use this skillset in a self defense situation. Martial Arts students become very confident as the years go on. This confidence leads to developing traits that bully’s stay clear from. Keeping an upright posture, making eye contact, speaking loudly and clearly and smiling are all traits of black belts.
