Andrew Craig
is the new IXFA Champion
03/16/2011

Team Tooke Coach Andrew Craig wins the IXFA 185 lb title in Houston against the,
always tough, John Kirk. After a dominant first round, Andrew gets a fast takedown
to open round 2 and quickly moves to the mount position. From there he secured a
beautiful triangle choke from the mount position, rolled to his back and got the
Jiu jitsu submission! What an awesome display of Brazilian Jiu jitsu. Now Andrew
is lined up to fight for the Legacy title against current champion, Bubba Bush.
Coach Andrew has been working super hard on his wrestling, striking and Brazilian
Jiu jitsu and will come to this fight fully prepared.

Team Tooke
wins fight of the night and submission of the night!
03/15/2011

Team Tooke fighters Aaron Croon and Levi West dominated the action at The Rumble
in Humble on March 4th. Aaron Croon won his fight with a beautiful Brazilian Jiu
jitsu rear naked choke and actually put his opponent to sleep! Levi West was equally
impressive as he TKO’d his opponent in the 2nd round of the fight with a beautiful
display of Muay Thai techniques. His dominant striking earned him the “fight of
the night” award. Congratulations to these two outstanding athletes. We can’t wait
to see what the future holds for these great fighters.

Big Congrats to our Team Tooke MMA fighters

know this email is a little bit late but I wanted to send out huge Congratulations
to our team of MMA fighters who competed recently. On Thursday night, December 2nd,
we brought a team of 4 fighters to go to battle at the “Rumble in Humble”
MMA event lead by Eric Garcia and Garcia Promotions.
Justin Castillo, Levi West, Andrew Musquiz and Guilherme
“G” Moreira all put it on the line in this spectacular event. By the
night’s end 3 out of 4 of our fighters emerged victorious and all of them
left everything they had in the cage. I couldn’t be more proud of these guys
because I know, first hand, just how hard they trained and how much they sacrificed
to prepare for this event and I couldn’t be more proud.

Equally impressive was the dominant performance that Team Tooke
Muay Thai Coach Andrew Craig
put on just 2 days later. Coach Andrew fought
a very tough opponent and dominated all three rounds of action at the IXFA championship.
This fight showcased some great striking, grappling, submission attempts, takedowns
and lots of will power. Andrew trained super hard for this fight and it really showed
as he went 3-0 in his Professional MMA career.

Congrats again to everyone who fought and thanks to all Team Tooke students and fans
who came out to support these guys. The energy level from the guys cheering us on
was insane and really pumped these guys up to put on a great show. Thanks again
everyone

Team Tooke
Grand Opening a Huge Success!
10/30/2010

The Grand Opening at Team Tooke Mixed Martial Arts
was a huge success. With well over 200 people in attendance the
energy level
was unbelievable. The adult Judo and Brazilian Jiu Jitsu
seminar showcased some amazing throws and some very technical transitions on the
ground. In training area 2 we had our Muay Thai kickboxing sparring EVENT which
produced some incredible matches. I couldn’t believe how technical these guys are
getting. Following the Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and Muay Thai
adult events we had our kids Jiu Jitsu in house competition. This was probably the
most exciting part of the event as all the kids went out and showed a ton of heart
and skill during their matches. I was so proud to see how many kids we had in attendance
and how much effort was put forth by every child. There were some very big and well
deserved belt promotions that were awarded on Saturday as well. Most notably, Coach
Jeremy Trahan, head Brazilian Jiu Jitsu instructor at Team Tooke in Spring was awarded
his Black Belt. Also, Coach Robby Rabadi, head coach at Rabadi Jiu Jitsu in
Round Rock, TX
was also awarded his Black Belt. Congratulations to
these incredible Martial Artists. After the training portion we had some amazing
BBQ (which is still left if anybody wants some) followed by our raffle and prize
drawing. All together the event was an amazing success and everyone had a great
time.

to a blue belt.  But like a true competitor he was able to come back in the
gi division to take home the gold with a beautiful arm bar from the mount in the
final.  Chris Bailey (new blue belt) ran through his divisions (both gi and
no-gi) submitting nearly every opponent he faced with a barrage of transitions and
attacks.  Keep a look out for this guy, he has a bright future ahead of him.
To top the day off, Team Tooke head instructor Travis Tooke won both his weight
divisions as well as the absolute division (all weights), submitting all but one
opponent.  In the Final of the Absolute, Travis fought a heavier Brazilian
Black Belt and was able to out score the tough opponent to take home the N.A.G.A.
absolute championship belt!  Congratulations to all these guys and we look
